Mealey's (June 17, 2015, 7:56 AM EDT) -- SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A California federal judge on Oct. 1, 2014, granted summary judgment to the U.S. Forest Service, finding among other things that that plaintiffs opposed to a California gold-mining project did not show that the project’s water use will have a detrimental effect on the Salmon River watershed (Klamath Siskiyou Wildlands Center, et al. v. United States Forest Service, et al., No. 12-1676, E.D. Calif.; 20014 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 141028).
