Justices Stop Election Of Native Hawaiians Pending 9th Circuit Review

(December 10, 2015, 9:59 AM EST) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Supreme Court on Dec. 2 halted an election in Hawaii of delegates to a constitutional convention of Native Hawaiians until the Ninth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals can decide an appeal by challengers to the election (Keli’i Akina, et al., v. State of Hawaii, et al., No. 15A551, U.S. Sup.).
