Idaho Supreme Court: Tribe Entitled To Fees For Horse-Racing Machine Row

(December 9, 2015, 4:53 PM EST) -- BOISE, Idaho — The Idaho Supreme Court on Dec. 2 awarded more than $57,000 in attorney fees to a Native American tribe for its successful challenge to the governor’s veto of a bill outlawing slot-machinelike horse-racing gambling devices in the state, although one high court justice said the award is too high for the amount of work required (Coeur D’Alene Tribe v. Lawerence Denney, No. 43169, Idaho Sup.; 2015 Ida. LEXIS 312).
