(December 9, 2015, 1:02 PM EST) -- CHEYENNE, Wyo. — The Sierra Club and other environmental groups opposing states and hydraulic fracturing companies that are challenging new federal regulations on fracking on Dec. 7 filed a brief in Wyoming federal court arguing that the court should issue a final ruling or, in the alternative, stay the proceedings as the parties appeal the case at the federal appellate level (State of Wyoming v. U.S. Department of the Interior, et al., No. 15-00043, D. Wyo.).
