Louisiana Law Should Be Applied To Contamination Dispute, Federal Judge Says
Mealey's (December 7, 2015, 3:54 PM EST) -- NEW ORLEANS — A Louisiana federal judge on Nov. 23 determined that Louisiana law, not Texas law, should be applied to a coverage dispute with one insurer in a suit arising out of environmental contamination caused by an insured’s salt mine operation (Lisa T. Leblanc, et al. v. Texas Brine Co., No. 12-2059, E.D. La.; 2015 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 159781).
