(December 7, 2015, 3:39 PM EST) -- NEW YORK — Numerous plaintiffs in multidistrict litigation argue in briefs submitted Nov. 16 to the Second Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals that a bankruptcy court order and injunction issued pursuant to Section 363 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code shield General Motors LLC (New GM) from liability for the majority of ignition-switch suits stemming from conduct on the part of Motors Liquidation Co. (Old GM) (In re: Motors Liquidation Company, No. 15-2844, 2nd Cir.).
