Parties To Maintain Status Quo Pending Appeal In Disenrollment Proceedings

Mealey's (June 16, 2015, 4:21 PM EDT) -- DEMING, Wash. — Saying that the plaintiffs faced the possibility of disenrollment from the Nooksack Indian Tribe, a Nooksack Tribal Court judge on Feb. 26 ordered the parties to maintain the status quo pending resolution of the plaintiffs’ appeal of the disenrollment proceedings before the Interior Board of Indian Appeals (IBIA) (Michelle Joan Roberts, et al. v. Robert Kelly, et al., Belmont, et al. v. Robert Kelly, et al., Nos. 2013-CI-CL-003, 2014-CI-CL-007, Nooksack Tribal).
