Lack Of Injury Dooms Suit Against Telescope On ‘Sacred’ Mountain, Judge Says
(December 4, 2015, 12:14 PM EST) -- HONOLULU — A federal judge in Hawaii on Nov. 30 dismissed claims filed by a Native Hawaiian against the governor, the University of Hawaii and other parties alleging that the construction of a telescope atop a volcanic mountain violates the Hawaii Admission Act of 1959 (C. Kaui Jochanan Amsterdam v. State of Hawaii, et al., No. 15-00338, D. Hawaii; 2015 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 160445).
