Mealey's (December 4, 2015, 11:40 AM EST) -- TAMPA, Fla. — Summary judgment in an insurance bad faith lawsuit is not warranted, a federal judge in Florida ruled Nov. 24, because triable issues of material fact exist as to whether an insurer acted in bad faith in its handling of an insurance claim (James P. Hines, as personal representative of the Estate of Eva Cordova-Rodriguez, v. GEICO Indemnity Co., No. 14-1062, M.D. Fla.; 2015 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 158785).
