California Federal Judge Dismisses Dispute Over Pay For Lack Of Jurisdiction

Mealey's (June 16, 2015, 4:17 PM EDT) -- SACRAMENTO, Calif. — In dismissing a complaint without prejudice, a federal judge in California on Feb. 12 held that he lacks jurisdiction to hear a dispute over the payment and demand for reimbursement of back pay, saying that the plaintiff failed to exhaust tribal remedies in Tribal Court as required before seeking relief in federal court (Resources For Indian Student Education Inc. v.
