Federal Judge: Settlement In Motorcycle Crash Suit Was Made In Good Faith

Mealey's (December 3, 2015, 1:57 PM EST) -- HONOLULU — A federal judge in Hawaii on Nov. 23 adopted a magistrate judge’s report that a $1.3 million settlement between a motorcyclist injured in an accident and the insurers of the woman who crashed into him was made in good faith, precluding the defendants in a product liability suit from filing a third-party suit against the woman (Aaron Aloya, et al. v. Shoei Safety Helmet Corp et al., No. 14-00534-HG-BMK, D. Hawaii; 2015 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 157790).
