Judge Finds TILA Claim Is Time-Barred, Dismisses RESPA Cause Of Action
(December 3, 2015, 12:48 PM EST) -- TACOMA, Wash. — A Washington federal judge on Dec. 2 dismissed a former property owner's claims for violation of the Truth in Lending Act (TILA) and Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA) as time-barred and for a lack of specificity, but granted him leave to amend various state law claims (Sung Han v. Nationstar Mortgage LLC, et al., No. 15-5702, W.D. Wash.; 2015 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 161164).
