California Woman Sues Blue Cross For Denying Hepatitis C Treatment
Mealey's (December 3, 2015, 8:18 AM EST) -- LOS ANGELES — A California woman filed a class complaint against Blue Cross of California and 20 unnamed Does in California state court on Nov. 19, accusing the insurer of implementing a scheme to limit the authorization of a drug approved to cure hepatitis C due to the drug’s high cost and the number of hepatitis C patients (Signe K. Johnson, et al. v. Blue Cross of California, et al., No. BC601794, Calif. Super., Los Angeles Co.).
