Target’s $39 Million Settlement With Data Breach Suit Banks Initially Approved

Mealey's (December 3, 2015, 8:10 AM EST) -- MINNEAPOLIS — Just two weeks after granting final approval of a settlement between Target Corp. and a class of consumer plaintiffs in a suit over a massive 2013 data breach, a Minnesota federal judge on Dec. 2 granted preliminary approval of the retailer’s $39 million settlement with a class of banks and financial institutions (FIs, collectively) (In re: Target Corporation Customer Data Security Breach Litigation, No. 0:14-md-02522).
