Nevada High Court: Builder’s Delayed Arbitration Request Did Not Prejudice Buyers
(December 1, 2015, 2:26 PM EST) -- CARSON CITY, Nev. — A Nevada Supreme Court panel on Nov. 18 reversed a state court judge’s ruling denying Lennar Reno LLC’s motion to compel arbitration in a lawsuit brought by buyers complaining of construction defects, finding that the builder’s decision to file its motion nearly two years after the lawsuit was filed did not prejudice the plaintiffs (Lennar Reno LLC v. Angie Macedo, et al., No. 65510, Nev. Sup.; 2015 Nev. Unpub. LEXIS 1427).
