Doctor Says He Has Standing To Sue Insurers Over Handling Of State Criminal Investigations

(December 1, 2015, 1:23 PM EST) -- PHILADELPHIA — A doctor argues in a Nov. 30 appellant brief to the Third Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals that he had constitutional standing to bring a lawsuit accusing various insurance companies of wrongfully filing state criminal investigations regarding the New Jersey Insurance Fraud Prevention Act, New Jersey Statutes Annotated Sections 7:33A-1 to -30 (IFPA) (Dr. Harshad C. Patel v. Allstate New Jersey Insurance Co., et al., No. 15-2513, 3rd Cir.).
