New Jersey Federal Judge: Coverage Not Owed For Water Damage Caused By Flooding

(December 1, 2015, 12:02 PM EST) -- TRENTON, N.J. — A New Jersey federal judge on Nov. 18 granted an insurer’s motion for summary judgment after determining that the insurer did not breach its contract or act in bad faith in its handling and partial payment of an insured’s water damage claim because not all of the water damage was caused by the backup of drain water as required by the policy (Frank Stiso, et al. v.
