Putative Class: $1.84M Deal ‘Passes Muster’ To Settle Tainted Drinking Water Case

Mealey's (November 30, 2015, 11:32 AM EST) -- CAMDEN, N.J. — The members of a putative class on Nov. 16 filed a brief in New Jersey federal court seeking approval of a settlement in the case they brought against a company accused of contaminating the Paulsboro, N.J., municipal water supply with fluorocarbon compounds (PFCs), contending that the deal “readily passes muster” (Aaron Thomas, et al. v. Solvay Specialty Polymers USA, et al., No. 14-1870, D. N.J.).
