Sierra Club Notifies Fracking Companies Of Intent To Sue For Waste Water Injection
(November 24, 2015, 4:25 PM EST) -- OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma chapter of the Sierra Club, in partnership with a public interest law firm, on Oct. 30 issued a notice of intent to sue four hydraulic fracturing companies, alleging ongoing violations of federal law in connection with the underground injection and disposal of fracking waste fluids.
A spokesman for the Sierra Club said there is a 90-day waiting period that must be observed before a formal complaint is filed.
