EA Asks High Court To Review ‘Madden NFL’ Publicity Rights Case
(November 24, 2015, 12:28 PM EST) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Supreme Court should consider whether the First Amendment protects its depiction of current and former NFL players in the “Madden NFL” video game franchise from a right-of-publicity putative class action, Electronic Arts Inc. (EA) says in an Oct. 5 petition for a writ of certiorari (Electronic Arts Inc. v. Michael E. Davis, et al., No. 15-424, U.S. Sup.).
