Gas Exploration Company Is Not An Additional Insured; No Coverage Owed, Judge Says
(November 24, 2015, 12:23 PM EST) -- VICTORIA, Texas — A Texas federal judge on Nov. 18 granted an insurer’s motion for summary judgment after determining that a gas exploration company seeking coverage for an oil well blowout is not an additional insured under the terms of the drilling contract or the insurance policy (Miramar Petroleum Inc. v. The First Liberty Insurance Corp., et al., No. 15-28, S.D. Texas; 2015 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 156094).
