Federal Judge Finds TILA Claim Is Time-Barred, Dismisses Case Against Bank

Mealey's (November 20, 2015, 1:33 PM EST) -- MINNEAPOLIS — A Minnesota federal judge on Nov. 18 granted a bank's motion to dismiss a complaint filed against it, finding that a borrower's claims for violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) failed and that his claim for violation of the Truth In Lending Act (TILA) was time-barred (Rashad Hasan v.
