Federal Judge Trims Claims In Insurance Bad Faith Lawsuit
(November 20, 2015, 12:14 PM EST) -- PITTSBURGH — A federal judge in Pennsylvania substantially dismissed an insured’s insurance breach of contract and bad faith individual and consumer class action claims against an insurer on claims that its use of a two-step procedure for determining actual cash value of a property breached the terms of a homeowners insurance policy (Vincent Papurello, et al. v. State Farm Fire & Casualty Co., No. 15-1005, W.D. Pa.; 2015 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 154536).
