9th Circuit Partially Upholds, Partially Reverses Ruling On Detention Injunction
(November 12, 2015, 11:27 AM EST) -- PASADENA, Calif. — The Ninth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals on Oct. 28 partially affirmed and partially reversed a permanent injunction issued in a class suit in which the plaintiffs allege that their detentions, which lasted more than six months without a bond hearing, violated federal law (Alejandro Rodriguez, et al. v. Timothy Robbins, et al., Nos. 13-56706 and 13-56755, 9th Cir.; 2015 U.S. App. LEXIS 18758).
