Mealey's (November 12, 2015, 11:23 AM EST) -- LOS ANGELES — A federal jury in California on Nov. 6 convicted a man accused of insurance fraud for his role in a $4 million scheme in which he allegedly billed Medicare for power wheelchairs (PWCs) that were medically unnecessary or not provided to patients (United States of America v. Valery Bogomolny, No. 13cr666, C.D. Calif.).
