Bill Cosby Challenges Insurer’s Request To Stay Underlying Defamation Suit

(November 11, 2015, 12:31 PM EST) -- SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — William H. Cosby Jr. on Nov. 3 opposed his homeowners and excess insurer’s motion that an underlying defamation lawsuit against him be stayed until a federal court in Massachusetts rules on whether the policies apply to the underlying claims and whether the insurer has a duty to defend him (AIG Property Casualty Co. v. Tamara Green, et al., No. 15-30111, D. Mass.).
