Federal Judge: Provider Has Right To Sue Doctor’s Professional Liability Insurer
(November 11, 2015, 10:19 AM EST) -- WILMINGTON, Del. — A federal judge in Delaware on Nov. 2 held that a health services provider has standing to sue a doctor’s professional liability insurer, allowing breach of contract and bad faith claims to proceed (Christiana Care Health Services Inc. v. PMSLIC Insurance Co., No. 14-1420, D. Del.; 2015 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 148048).
