Native Language Immersion Measure Passes Senate Indian Affairs Committee

(November 10, 2015, 2:20 PM EST) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Senate Indian Affairs Committee on Oct. 21 passed a bill that would make up to $5 million in grants available per year for Native American tribes to establish or expand native language immersion programs.
