Texas Appellate Court Reverses Judgment Against Bank In Robbery Shooting Case
(November 10, 2015, 12:59 PM EST) -- DALLAS — A Texas appellate panel on Nov. 3 reversed a judgment for the plaintiffs in a premises liability case after finding that the trial judge erred by submitting the claims to a jury because the defendant bank could not foresee the risk of a fatal shooting at its facility (J.P. Morgan Chase Bank, N.A. v. Sofia Borquez and Joel Borquez, No. 05-14-00131-CV Texas Sup.; 2015 Tex. App. LEXIS 11303).
