Supreme Court Agrees To Tackle ACA Opt-Out Cases

(November 9, 2015, 1:56 PM EST) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — The nation’s top court on Nov. 6 asked the parties in seven challenges to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA)’s contraceptive mandate opt out process for proposals about how to minimize filings and prevent repetition. The submissions are due Nov. 16. The action comes after the court agreed to once again wade into the battle over the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) contraceptive mandate, granting petitions challenging the law’s opt-out procedure for religious objectors.
