Magistrate Dismisses Oil Company That Was Improperly Joined In Fracking Lease Case

(November 6, 2015, 3:37 PM EST) -- SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A federal magistrate judge in California on Oct. 28 dismissed an oil and gas company from a hydraulic fracturing lease dispute, ruling that the company had been improperly joined and the plaintiff failed to establish diversity jurisdiction (Grayson Service Inc. v. Crimson Resource Management Corp., No. 14-01125, E. D. Calif.).
