Judge Approves $15,000 Settlement Pact Involving Insurer In Rehabilitation

(November 5, 2015, 1:40 PM EST) -- CHICAGO — An Illinois judge on Oct. 21 granted the rehabilitator of an insurer’s petition for an order approving the settlement of an uninsured motorist lawsuit (In the Matter of the Rehabilitation of Millers First Insurance Company, No. 12-CH-21255, Ill. Cir., Cook Co.).

Millers First Insurance Co. (MFIC) was placed into rehabilitation by the Cook County, Ill., Circuit Court on July 24, 2012.

Anne Melissa Dowling, Illinois’ acting director of insurance, is Millers First’s statutory and court-affirmed rehabilitator.
