Judge Affirms Grant Of Judgment In Favor Of DOI On Land-Taking Claims
Mealey's (November 5, 2015, 11:36 AM EST) -- ALBANY, N.Y. — A New York federal judge on Nov. 2 declined to reconsider his grant of summary judgment in favor of the federal government in a suit challenging the government’s decision in 2008 to place more than 13,000 acres in central New York into a trust for the benefit of the Oneida Indian Nation of New York (Central New York Fair Business Association, et al. v. Sally M. R. Jewell, et al., No. 6:08-cv-0660, N.D. N.Y.).
