Panel: Investor Failed To Properly Make Demand On DeVry Board
(November 3, 2015, 3:34 PM EST) -- CHICAGO — A federal district court did not err in dismissing an investor’s shareholder derivative lawsuit against the DeVry Education Group Inc. board of directors because the investor failed to properly plead demand futility, a Seventh Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals panel ruled Oct. 20 (Jan Donnawell v. Daniel Hamburger, et al., No. 15-1006, 7th Cir.; 2015 U.S. App. LEXIS 18237).
