Mealey's (November 3, 2015, 1:41 PM EST) -- SAN JOSE, Calif. — Judgment on the pleadings in an insurance bad faith lawsuit is proper because the plaintiff failed to show that she has a valid claim under California law, a federal judge in California ruled Oct. 29 (Celia Stauty Luis v. Metropolitan Life Insurance Co., No. 14-4436, N.D. Calif.; 2015 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 147747).
