Jury Awards Muslim Truck Drivers $240,000 In Religious Bias Suit

(November 1, 2015, 7:48 PM EST) -- CHICAGO — An Illinois federal jury on Oct. 21 awarded two Muslim truck drivers, who were fired from their jobs after refusing to transport alcohol because it violated their religious beliefs, a total of $240,000 (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission v. Star Transport, Inc., No. 13-1240, C.D. Ill.).
