Judge: Policy Benefits Properly Denied In Bad Faith Suit Pursuant To Exclusion

(October 23, 2015, 12:02 PM EDT) -- GREENVILLE, S.C. — A federal judge in South Carolina on Oct. 13 granted an insurer’s summary judgment motion in an insurance bad faith lawsuit, ruling that no question of material fact exists showing that the insurer breached its contract or acted in bad faith in denying benefits under a life insurance policy due to an exclusion in the policy (Yuvani Gardner v. The Prudential Insurance Company of America, No. 14-3269, D. S.C.; 2015 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 138889).
