Mealey's (June 16, 2015, 10:34 AM EDT) -- GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The opt out in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) contraceptive mandate for religious institutions effectively exempts them from providing the services to which they object, the government argues in a May 21 brief in Michigan federal court (Right to Life of Michigan v. Sylvia Mathews Burwell, et al., No. 13-1202, W.D. Mich.).
