Viagra Melanoma Claim Is Time-Barred, Mississippi Federal Judge Rules

Mealey's (October 23, 2015, 8:50 AM EDT) -- GULFPORT, Miss. — A Mississippi federal judge on Oct. 19 dismissed a plaintiff’s claim that Viagra caused his melanoma, saying the claim is plainly time-barred by Mississippi’s three-year statute of limitations and that the plaintiff did not show that defendant Pfizer Inc. fraudulently concealed the drug’s alleged risk (Marcus H. Tanner v. Pfizer, Inc., No. 15-75, S.D. Miss., S. Div.; 2015 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 141883).
