JPMDL Consolidates, Transfers Suits Over OPM Data Breach

Mealey's (October 21, 2015, 12:34 PM EDT) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — Shortly after issuing an order in which it consolidated three putative class actions against the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) related to an April 2015 data breach that exposed government employees’ personally identifying information (PII), the U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation on Oct. 19 issued a conditional order potentially consolidating and transferring six more similar cases against the office (In Re: U.S. Office of Personnel Management Data Security Breach Litigation, No. 2664, JPMDL).
