Pennsylvania Law Firm Denies Claims In Garlock’s Fraud, RICO Action

(October 20, 2015, 4:49 PM EDT) -- CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Allegations made by Chapter 11 debtor Garlock Sealing Technologies LLC that a Philadelphia law firm schemed to withhold information so it could fraudulently obtain settlements for asbestos plaintiffs are “far-fetched” and without merit, the firm says in its Oct. 16 answer to Garlock’s complaint filed in North Carolina federal court (Garlock Sealing Technologies LLC, et al. v. Shein Law Center, Ltd., et al., No. 14-137, W.D. N.C.).
