Electric Company Seeks $1M From Insurer For Settlement Over Employee Death

(October 20, 2015, 7:57 AM EDT) -- NEW ORLEANS — An electric company insured has asked the Fifth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals to reverse a lower federal court’s ruling that there is no workers’ compensation and employers liability coverage for an underlying settlement over the alleged wrongful death of the insured’s employee (Liberty Insurance Corp. v. Dixie Electric, L.L.C., No. 15-10279, 5th Cir.).
