Judge: Investors Failed To Plead Scienter In Making Securities Law Claims
(October 16, 2015, 12:20 PM EDT) -- NEW YORK — Lead plaintiffs in a securities class action lawsuit against an insurer and others have failed to plead scienter in making their federal securities law claims against the insurer’s outside auditor, a federal judge in New York ruled Sept. 18 in granting the auditor’s motion to dismiss (In re Tower Group International Ltd. Securities Litigation, No. 13-5852, S.D. N.Y.; 2015 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 136366).
