Virginia Federal Judge Certifies Class Of Migrant Workers Seeking Wages
Mealey's (October 14, 2015, 3:05 PM EDT) -- CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — A Virginia federal judge on Oct. 5 certified a class of migrant workers who allege that they were improperly denied minimum wage after they were not reimbursed for the costs to obtain temporary visas and travel to and from the United States between working seasons (Carlos Humberto Cab Siquic, et al. v. Star Forestry, LLC, et al., No. 13-43, W.D. Va.; 2015 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 135674).
