Technical Support Company Will Pay $40 To Each Class Member To Settle TCPA Claims
(October 14, 2015, 3:04 PM EDT) -- SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A California federal judge on Oct. 6 granted preliminary approval to a technical support service provider’s offer to pay $40 to each class member to settle a complaint accusing it of violating the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) by calling consumers’ cell phones without their express permission (Vicki Estrada, et al. v. iYogi, Inc., No. 13-1989, E.D. Calif.; 2015 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 137299).
