Shareholder Failed To Properly Plead Scienter, Federal Judge Rules
(October 14, 2015, 3:00 PM EDT) -- BOSTON — Dismissal of a securities class action lawsuit against a biotechnology company and certain of its officers and directors is proper because a shareholder failed to properly plead scienter in making its federal securities law claims, a federal judge in Massachusetts ruled Sept. 30 (Local No. 8 IBEW Retirement Plan v. Vertex Pharmaceuticals Inc., et al., No. 14-12296, D. Mass.; 2015 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 133063).
