Judicial Panel Won’t Create Clean Water Rule MDL

(October 14, 2015, 10:38 AM EDT) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation (JPMDL) on Oct. 13 denied the federal government’s motion to centralize lawsuits challenging the Clean Water Rule, saying the nine cases will be decided on the administrative record and a multidistrict litigation would be problematic (In Re: Clean Water Rule; Definition of ‘Waters of the United States’, MDL Docket No. 2663, JPMDL).
