Judge: Residents Cannot Sue U.S. Government Agencies For Mining Fracking Sand
(October 9, 2015, 12:09 PM EDT) -- GULPORT, Miss. — A federal judge in Mississippi on Oct. 6 dismissed a lawsuit against two government agencies brought by residents who contended that they were injured as a result of an operation to mine sand for hydraulic fracturing (Jeffery Chad Palmer v. Sun Coast Contracting Services LLC, No. 15-34, S.D. Miss.; 2015 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 136128).
