10th Circuit: School District Auditor’s Budget Speech Was Not Protected
(October 8, 2015, 10:35 AM EDT) -- DENVER — A former school district auditor failed to show that her termination, after she brought up suspected budget inflations and refused to drop the accusations after district management and an independent investigator disproved her allegations, violated federal or state law, the 10th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals ruled Sept. 24, affirming a trial court’s decision (Gina Holub v. Chris Gdowski, et al., No. 14-1419, 10th Cir.; 2015 U.S. App. LEXIS 16930).
