U.S. Senate Passes ACA Large-Employer Definition Bill

Mealey's (October 5, 2015, 2:35 PM EDT) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Senate on Oct. 1 passed without amendment and on voice vote a bill aimed at giving states the ability to treat employers with fewer than 100 employees as small employers under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA).

The bill now heads to President Barack Obama.
